We have come along way in two years and manage to reach more people affected by PR every day. But how did it all start.. The concept began more than 2 years ago with my own PR section on my website just after I was diagnosed in 2004. Due to the amount of visitors I was getting with my website along with the emails from others with PR I decided to start a website just for PR. The IPRS was founded in 2005 shortly followed by the FORUM (Dec 05). The IPRS website has changed its address a few times along the journey; 1st just a '/pr' section, then its own .co.uk, and now it's a .org, but then Forum got its own .org too! The forum has also gone from strength to strength with more and more members each week as well as various sections & facilities added. The forum has become a real online community. We have one of the most friendliest and supportive group of people I have ever come across on the web, as well as in the real world. If you haven't already joined please do you will find it will help you a great deal. So what's next? Hopefully the IPRS will continue to have the same great impact here in the UK, in the USA and also in the rest of the world. Reaching out to the none English speaking countries may be more problematic, but with so many more people affected by PR and they help of volunteers even they can be reached. The new year will bring an IPRS PR Survey (although I have been promising that for a while - it is definite this next year), so keep visiting the website for more details and spreading the word that we are here. To Celebrate Our 2nd Year Anniversary for both the IPRS Website and Forum we are releasing a limited edition badge/button. The badge includes a child safe/PR friendly clip instead of a difficult to open safety pin (see photos below.) To receive your limited edition badge (made by my family and I, so it has that English Country Cottage Factory Feel) please email your name and home or work address to me at iprs@f2s.com (No one else will see your address nor will it be given or sold to any other party, once I have sent your badge I can delete your details if requested.) The IPRS will cover the cost of the postage so there's no reason not to claim yours and celebrate our anniversary together.
We only have a very limited amount and it's on a first come basis, if you want more than one because you want to give them to your family etc please request amount in your email and we will see what we have left.
Happy 2nd Anniversary to all our IPRS members and Good Health to all.
