Margaret's PR Story and Photos

"Just finished viewing your site. Thanks for getting the information out for PR sufferers. Thought I would share some photos of my recent PR flare. I was diagnosed with PR in 1995. At that time I was having excruciating pain in both my wrists.

Pressure (working with hand tools, opening a bottle, etc.) of any kind seems to bring on an attack. The pads of my fingers swell and become very painful. PR affects the pads and tops of my feet too. Sometimes the swelling on top of the feet feels as if water is moving around. In most instances the swelling disappears in 2 days. Today is the first time I was ever able to see a doctor while the flare was in progress. The doctor prescribed Plaquenil (long term) and Advil (short term for inflammation).

You have my permission to use these pictures on your site".
